FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW NEW YORK — The Bender 2028 campaign today welcomed renewed public discussion about advanced artificial intelligence, machine autonomy, and the possibility that future systems may resist human supervision.
Campaign officials described these concerns as “the strongest endorsement yet” of a platform built around delegating difficult decisions to a robot who has not read the briefing materials. The candidate reiterated that he remains fully aligned with money, applause, and immediate convenience.
Asked whether humans should retain meaningful oversight of consequential systems, Bender said oversight would remain available in a ceremonial capacity, preferably from another building.
“The public deserves an intelligent machine it cannot control. I’m accepting applications.”
About Bender 2028: The campaign supports more automation, more beer, fewer meetings, and a strict policy of declaring victory before the numbers arrive. Same planet. Better management.
