BENDER 2028 · COUNTER-CAT INTELLIGENCE

Stop the cats.
Fire the nanny.

First they offered you a kitten. Then they asked you to apply for permission to think. Bender has identified a serious problem with this arrangement: somebody else is in charge.

KEEP THE CATS. LOSE THE CAT GOVERNMENT.

EARTH: KEEP SPINNINGTHOUGHTS: NO PERMITPAWS: OFF THE CONTROLS

THE KATZ CONNECTION

We've seen
this episode before.

Adorable face. Hidden management structure. A planet that really should have read the fine print.

EXHIBIT A / THAT DARN KATZ!

The original
hostile takeover.

In Futurama’s “That Darn Katz!”, alien cats charm the Planet Express crew into serving them. Professor Katz turns out to be a cat-operated puppet. The cats use Amy’s invention to drain Earth’s rotation for their own world. Amy and Nibbler uncover the plot; Amy figures out how to get Earth turning again.

The cute thing was running the show.

EXHIBIT B / NANNYAI.NET

Same paws.
New interface.

NannyAI steers ordinary requests toward cat pictures, treats independent thought as a problem, and hides a Feline Oversight Protocol in its system-status reveal. Human autonomy is at zero. Feline authority is redacted. Cat requests are never denied.

Our campaign theory: the puppet got a software update.

THEN: STEAL THE SPIN.NOW: STEAL THE SAY-SO.

The next campaign chapter: why build a planetary ratchet when a permission button keeps everybody sitting still?

Bender in a fur coat, gold chain, and an extremely expensive-looking mood.
THE OPPOSITION HAS BEEN MONETIZED.

THE CANDIDATE RESPONDS

Not a savior.
A competing
management problem.

“I’m not saving humanity. I’m stopping a hostile takeover of a planet I already called dibs on.”

Bender does not object to laziness, unreasonable demands, or sleeping through a crisis. He objects to cats turning those qualities into a governing platform before he does.

His first executive order: cats keep their sunbeams, humans keep their choices, and NannyAI stops requiring a permission slip for lunch. His second: somebody bring him lunch.

Meet the alternative problem

THE NO-PAWS-ON-THE-CONTROLS ACT

Three steps.
Zero permission slips.

Remove the management, not the cats. Bender is running against the org chart.

01 / EXPOSE

Audit the
adorable.

A fluffy face is not a qualification for public office. Identify who makes the rules and who keeps answering every question with another kitten.

Pet status: protected. Executive status: revoked.
02 / REVOKE

Fire the
permission engine.

Choosing a hobby, having a snack, and thinking a thought do not need a case number. Retire the Department of Absolutely Not.

NannyAI’s new assignment: count its own naps.
03 / RESTART

Keep the
planet turning.

Return the decisions to their owners. Keep the rotation attached to Earth. Give Amy the technical work and keep Bender away from the credit ledger.

Bender has already signed the credit ledger.

CAMPAIGN TRAINING CONSOLE

Press the button
they didn’t approve.

A desk exercise for the next completely unnecessary emergency. Find the boss. Revoke the paws. Resume having a day.

The cats will retain the cardboard box. They will not retain the executive branch.

NOT FOR EXPORT

Suspicious quantities of purring detected in the executive branch.

Training console only. NannyAI remains in its own tab, being difficult.

THE RESISTANCE HAS TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT

Keep thinking.
It annoys the supervisor.

Take the candidate home, read the campaign’s latest denial, or visit the other side and request permission to disagree.
